Recent Spaces is an industry-leading London-based architectural and design visualisation studio founded by Iain Banks and Alex York. Our small but growing team creates beautiful, detailed and effective CGIs, animated films, interactive experiences and our unique Fluid Images for property developers, architects, branding agencies, interior designers, product designers, private home-owners, artists, photographers and more. Our team of passionate artists, filmmakers and photographers enjoys working on projects of all sizes and types, from private homes and apartments to iconic landmark buildings worldwide, including major New York City and London projects.

Our studio is all about development and continually pushing things forward. We have regular R&D sessions at the studio where artists are encouraged to explore and develop new techniques, software and hardware and then hold seminars to present their techniques and studies to the rest of the team.

We are looking for a driven and focused person to help us with daily studio and administrative tasks and team and project management, including daily administrative/bookkeeping tasks, social media management and project and team management to support the directors.

You’ll be working closely with the directors and helping manage the studio’s schedule including arranging travel & events bookings, meetings and looking after clients, handling incoming inquiries and client invoicing, purchasing supplies and filing receipts/invoices, reporting and general bookkeeping tasks, handling daily PA & reception duties, diary management, managing starters and leavers, managing holiday/leave, updating finance and other documents and working with closely with accounting etc. You will also be keeping on top of upcoming expenses and software license management and making the directors aware of potential future challenges and opportunities.

This is not strictly an administrative role or a project management role - we’re looking for someone who has talent in both areas and who can help support the studio’s growth by carving out a role unique to them.

Skill & Experience Requirements:

  • A talent for and at least 2 years’ experience in administrative/office/bookkeeping/reporting tasks/project management, including experience with Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar etc.). Experience using InDesign a bonus.

  • Somebody highly driven and with a very strong attention to detail and accuracy, processes and procedure, and who feels at home when multitasking.

  • Someone who will ensure all communication with clients and team is accurate, helpful, timely and appropriate.

  • Someone who enjoys working in a team and socialising.

  • A background and/or interest in architectural visualisation, architecture, interior design, marketing/branding, property/real-estate, or similar would be a significant benefit.

  • Social Media marketing experience a bonus.
