“I think this city is full of people wanting inconceivable things”
John Dos Passos, 1925

Recent Spaces has a special relationship with New York. So much so, in fact, that we regard it as our “second city”. So, while our studio was born in London and our space in Battersea very much remains our HQ, we find ourselves travelling to NY frequently. We enjoy fruitful, long-standing relationships with the city’s leading developers, architects and branding agencies such as Extell, Rockefeller Group, JDS, Pandiscio Green, Corcoran Sunshine, RAMSA, CORE, OFFICIAL and many more.

The film and images below are a celebration of those relationships.

A trip to NY is always highly productive, filled with photo-shoots for live and up-coming projects, or documenting the rapid rise of current ones, meeting up with clients, friends and collaborators old and new. We shoot on-the-ground and neighborhood photography ourselves wherever possible.

Billionaire’s Row has changed dramatically since we first started visiting and working in Manhattan.

One of our team’s favourite things to do in NY is visit the Sales Galleries for our completed projects. It’s always a thrill for us to see our work in print, on interactive screens and cinema screening rooms.

We capture NY landmarks in unique weather and lighting conditions, and we translate this same approach to our renderings - always searching for a special, unusual, memorable atmosphere in our visuals.
